“I am an award-winning filmmaker from Iran, holding a degree in painting from the Art and Architecture faculty in Tehran. With over 40 years of diverse artistic experience, I am renowned for my work as a professional stage designer in more than 50 feature films. Notable collaborations include The Father (1996) and Baran (2001), directed by the esteemed Majid Majidi, as well as Meadow (2010), directed by Mohammad-Ali Talebi. Since 1986, I have served on the board of Iranian film design. Additionally, I have been mentoring emerging filmmakers through workshops and collaborative projects at the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) since 2001.
In the field of animation, I wrote and directed the acclaimed film “Scarecrow’s Heart” in 2009, which has garnered recognition at prestigious international festivals. My artistic achievements also extend to portraiture, with 17 paintings of esteemed figures, including Avicenna, Dr. Hasabi, and others. These portraits are now showcased at the prestigious National Honors Museum, honoring their remarkable achievements and contributions.
With a collection of over 100 figurines, my standout creation is the “Forgotten Games” collection. Through the use of scrap machinery, I passionately repurposed materials to revive and preserve traditional children’s games while promoting environmental protection.”
